Can I ship my mailing to the Post Office instead?

Priority Mail® service is a fast and efficient way to ship your mailing to a Post Office™ if your mailing is going to an area that your local Post Office doesn’t serve. Place bundles with facing slips in a box and include an envelope with the following:

  • Sample mailpiece
  • Check or money order made out to "Postmaster" or "Postal Service" for the amount of postage for your mailing. Include your telephone number on the front of the check.
  • Completed Every Door Direct Mail-Retail® Postage Statement (Form 3587), the same form you would have brought to your local Post Office if you mailed from there.
  • Copy of the Postmaster Instruction letter.

Address your boxes to "Postmaster" at the Post Office you're shipping them to.

Then label and number your boxes. On each one, write "Every Door Direct Mail–Retail" and "Open Immediately." For multiple boxes, number them starting with "1 of X" with "X" (e.g. 1 of 6, 2 of 6, 3 of 6, etc.).
