4a - Importing Adobe Photoshop Separations into Adobe Illustrator?
Step 1: Continuing from step 3c choose Save As from the File Drop Down menu.
Step 2: Select Photoshop DCS 2.0 (*.EPS) then click Save.
Step 3: Select Single File DCSwith color Composite (72 pixel/inch) Leave all other options defaulted as shown below and then click Save.
Step 4: Open the Adobe Illustrator file you want to use this in and choose Place from the File menu.
Step 5: Choose the Separated EPS file you saved and make sure the check box for LINK is checked then click PLACE.
Step 6: If everything worked correctly your swatch pallet should show the PMS colors now. Below is an example of our sample separation and swatch pallet showing the PMS colors present.
Step 8: The final print ready files will be 1 art file and 1 separated file in a common folder similar to the below image. Please zip the folder before uploading it.
