How to prepare artwork for foil printing?

Example 1: Full-color one-sided business card with a foil finish.
 
Configuration 1:

To create your one-sided Foil Accent Business Cards, you'll need two files: File #1 for the main artwork that will have a full-color design image and File #2 for the special foil finish artwork where the foil will be applied to your design. The special foil finish artwork should be submitted in black and white and in .pdf format only.


Example 2: Full-color two-sided business card with a foil finish on the front side and the back is full-color only.

Configuration 2:

For FRONT = File #1 is the main artwork in full color, and File #2 is a black and white artwork where the foil is going to be applied.
For BACK = File #3 is the main artwork in full color only for the backside.

Example 3: Full-color two-sided business card with a foil finish on the backside and the front is full-color only.

Configuration 3:

For FRONT = File #1 is the main artwork in full color only.
For BACK = File #2 is the main artwork in full color, and File #3 is a black and white artwork where the foil is going to be applied.


Example 4: Full-color two-sided business card with a foil finish on the front and the back.

Configuration 4:

For FRONT = File #1 is the main artwork in full color, and File #2 is a black and white artwork where the foil is going to be applied.
For BACK = File #3 is the main artwork in full color, and File #4 is a black and white artwork where the foil is going to be applied.

We have some limitations that you need to follow while designing your cards. Please refer to the demographic below:
1. No Border is allowed.
2. No lines or details should be thinner than 1pt thick.
3. No tight registration is allowed.
4. Nock-out graphics like border, drop shadow, etc. are not allowed as this may not align with the foil art properly.
